National Insurance Timor-Leste
The National Insurance Timor-Leste, SA ("NITL") is pleased to sponsor the Sail Timor-Leste event as a GOLD SPONSOR.
NITL is the first general insurance company in Timor-Leste and the country can leverage this fact to proudly showcase NITL to the international community and be the "official insurer of the event". There are many types of insurance coverage NITL can offer for the event. These include Comprehensive Yacht Insurance. The participating yachts may need an extension over their existing yacht insurance, if they already have cover, for the race. Such coverage will include:
1. Third party liability for anyone using the yacht with the owner's permission. No excess is payable on third party only claims.
2. The yacht (plus owner's tender, outboard and other personal effects if specified on the policy) will be covered for accidental damage, theft, fire and vandalism.
3. Damage to the yacht whilst in transit, but excluding third party liability in transit, as this should be covered by owner's vehicle's policy.
4. New for Old Cover - on all yachts less than three years old.
5. Full cover whilst racing for all sailing yachts.
6. 12 months cover whilst afloat or laid up ashore.
7. Cover for sails and covers, damaged by vermin.
We would be happy to discuss the possibilities in greater detail. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
